Inclov, a matchmaking app, to host a fully accessible offline meet-up in Gurgaon

A group of people are seated as part of the audience at one of Inclov's Social Spaces events. Some of them are smiling, while others are laughing and clapping their hands.

Inclov is a matchmaking app focussed on people with disabilities and health disorders. They also host offline meet-ups.

There are many barriers stopping people with disabilities from pursuing romance – discrimination, social stigma, lack of accessibility. Underlying all of these is the assumption that people with disabilities can’t or shouldn’t want romantic or sexual relationships.

The founders of Inclov, a matchmaking app which aims to support people with disabilities and health disorders to find romance, want to challenge all of this.

“Our app is 100% accessible and inclusive to people with any kind of disability, people with (health) disorders or without disability,” said a note by the co-founders of Inclov, Shankar Srinivasan and Kalyani Khona.

But Inclov’s reach isn’t just online. They also host events called Social Spaces, fully accessible offline meet-ups to give people the opportunity to meet in person.

“People with disability usually have restricted social lives due to inaccessible transport, roadways and public places. To bring about this systemic change and create (an) inclusive environment for people with disability, Inclov launched Social Spaces, which has proven to be a huge success,” said Srinivasan. Inclov has had six Social Spaces events so far.

The next Social Spaces meet-up is on Saturday, October 22, at People & Co (Cyber Hub – Gurgaon). The organisers promise a fun cooking workshop – with a (match-making) twist. People in Delhi/NCR, sign up now!
